Montreal based October Sky who completed a new EP "Rise" and begin their first US tour in May 2016, the bands latest single "Break Me" has been featured on CFL Thursday night football.

Swedish/Canadian Rockers Killer Bee are recording new material for an upcoming 2016 release as a follow up to 2014's "Evolutionary Children" Mastered at the studio. These guys are embarking on a second US tour in 12 months last year in support of Bullet Boys and LA Guns. The 2016 tour kicks off in Texas joined by Paul Chapman (UFO) on guitar.

Canadian country music icon Joan Kennedy recorded new material for an upcoming CD and video release "Yeeha Hallelujah".

UK group Vinnie & The Stars recorded overdubs and mixed the new CD "Development"  2015.

Join The Fight, an 18-track CD, was unveiled and made available in stores Monday March, 21 through Tri Media Atlantic, Music NB and the Canadian Cancer Society. The album features talent such as George Belliveau, Tracy Starr, The Divorcees, Mel Keith, Shirley Albert, Isaac & Blewett and Matt Andersen, running the gamut from country and blues to folk and rock, with both English and French songs included. The album sells for $10 and all proceeds will go to the Canadian Cancer Society. The album was put together by A/R Group International, Broken Coast Printing & Promotion and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Electro Kill Machine mastered the upcoming CD "Soul Of The Machine" with Paul Miner.

Shake Hands Eric from Peterborough UK are mixing with Paul this month.

In January 2011 Marc Chapman, Engineer Ken Smith and Producer Dan Cutrona were in  mixing Marc's debut release "Hiding Place".

Over the last few months Jamaican Dancehall artist Chuckleberry has been in the studio working on some new material. Congratulations Chuckleberry on your Grammy nomination for "So Bad" (Taxi Records)

Whitney Rose has been in the studio working on her new release which will feature her amazing voice and songwriting ability with a great lineup of Whitney's friends and veteran musicians including Al Cross (Big Sugar), Bob Egan (Wilco, Blue Rodeo), Fergus Marsh (Bruce Cockburn, Peter Murphey) Dan Cutrona (Joe Cocker) Kevin Zarnett (Kirsten Jones).

Next month production, mixing and mastering will be carried out on the second recording for upbeat UK jazz outfit Blue Soup. A follow up to the bands debut release through Raison d'Etre International Music Lovers' Collective.

In July segments of the Gemini nominated daily talk show Toronto weekend and The Real Money Show were hosted on AM 640 live from Shell Lane by the shows host Arlene Bynon .

Jessi Markee's debut release "All I Hear Is" Recorded and mixed at Ambushed and Shell Lane Studio's will be released in September.

Mixing of the Dave Markee Jazz collective took place in February 2010 and is now ready for release.

In January the studio played host to musicians from both the US and Europe to record a new release for french singer songwriter Elisabeth Bourbouze, produced by Gaby Alonso for YWAM Switzerland.

Angele Arsenault was in the studio during November doing pre-production with Dan Cutrona for her new recording to take place at Shell Lane Studio in 2010. The CD will feature 13 new original songs and follows her recent 22 song best of album. Our congratulations Angele on your Lifetime Achievment Award from MPEI.

The Saddle River Stringband completed a new recording as a follow up to the 2008 ECMA winning, Grammy nominated self titled release. Expected release for spring of 2010.

Dan Currie was in the studio recording new material in March with John Connolly and Adam Gallant.

At the 2009 East Coast Music Awards in Corner Brook Nfld studio clients had a total of 7 nominations. The big winner was Matt Andersen who picked up two awards - Best Blues recording and Best Male Solo recording for his CD "Something In Between". Recorded, mixed and mastered in 2008 at Shell Lane the recordings were produced by Paul Milner.

Ruth Fazal was in the studio early in March recording her new instrumental release. Ruth will be in Prague in April recording her new composition "Awakening" with the Radio Orchestra.

Here are some of the highlights from what has been a busy year in the studio

The Meds were in the studio mixing their new EP with Adam Gallant this summer. Adam's latest projects include Boxer The Horse, Nudie and the Turks and Dan Currie. Adam also recorded a new EP for Andrew Murray at shell lane in January 2009.

Battery Point completed a full length CD this fall "A Kick to the Blood". The new CD is among several other projects from Shell Lane this year nominated for East Coast Music Awards. These include Pat Deighan & the Orb Weavers, Meaghan Blanchard, Lazyjacks and Matt Andersen's highly acclaimed release "Something in Between". The Saddle River Stringband CD won Bluegrass Recording of the Year and Best New Band at the Music PEI awards in November. In February 2008 the band won an East Coast Music Award for Bluegrass Recording of the Year. Saddle River also made the Grammy ballot this fall. The debut CD was mixed and mastered last year at Shell Lane. The boys are back in the studio over the next few months recording their new CD scheduled for release in early summer 2009.

Andrew Martin spent time in the studio mixing his debut CD "Departures" with Producer Dan Cutrona in February. The CD was released in May 2008 at the Glen Gould in Toronto.

Jessi Markee completed writing for her debut CD in PEI in March. Recording and mixing will take place over the next few months in London and PEI.

Ruth Fazal released the second of two recordings earlier in 2008. The CD's were tracked on the Euphonics at CBC 211 in Toronto and mixed and mastered at Shell Lane Studio in PEI

Ruth is back in the studio in March 2009 recording a new instrumental CD for the popular "Songs from the River" series.

Broken Walls released their new CD this year. The CD was mixed and mastered at Shell Lane Studio and is nominated for several music awards.

Peter MacDougall was in the studio to record a new CD of Southern Gospel music with Paul Milner Producing, Jimi Platz on Guitar, Dale Desroches on Drums, Dan Cutrona on Keys Dave Markee on Bass and Norman Barrett playing Guitar. The CD will be completed early 2009 in Nashville.

Pat Deighan and the Orb Weavers new CD "In A Fever In A Dream" was released on Sandbar Music April 2008 and is nominated for an ECMA. The band will be preparing a tour to support the CD.

John Connolly found time to complete the recording of his new self titled CD this summer at Shell Lane Studio and released it in September through Sandbar Music group. While at the same time producing a debut CD for Meaghan Blanchard. The CD was mastered at Shell Lane and is nominated for 2 ECMA's John also spent the summer playing teenage Stompin' Tom at this years Charlottetown Festival and will be touring in Canada early in 2009 to promote the new CD. Matt Andersen's new CD "Something In Between" was released in Canada and the UK on Sonic Unyon / Universal Music Group this fall. The CD was recorded in both the UK and PEI.
